293. ONE WITH GOD – A MAJORITY! – Regal Daughters of God

(The Information & Edification Series – Batch 9)

Isn’t it amazing, how some people, for days, weeks, months and even years, have placed themselves in front row seats, waiting as spectators for your expected and long-awaited demise but to date, they’ve had no such satisfaction. They’ve been perplexed, confused, not understanding why you are still afloat and looking so good while at it! After all, life was supposed to run you down and do you in a long time ago. How dare you look so radiant, so joyful!

Of a truth, after all that life has thrown at me and continues to throw at me, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I am thoroughly exhausted and at times feel weary. Yet, God is my helper and my strength. He has proven time and time again, that he is able to succour and so I rely on him to get by from day to day.

Psalm 29:10-11 states of the Lord: “The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever.The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.”

True to his Word and solely by HIS grace, although people have kept looking and waiting for news of my fall for many a year, God has kept me above many storms, as HE sits as King upon the flood. Despite the will of man, HE has willed me to be buoyant.

Without a doubt, I deserve to sink but God in his faithfulness, has been keeping me, to the chagrin of my onlookers.

Samson himself had a bunch of spectators, who gathered for the sole reason of entertaining themselves at his expense and his pain, sure that they could finally say, aha, we’ve got him! He has fallen!

Yet, while he lost his life in the end, the most important thing was restored before he passed, which was his spiritual relationship with God. Furthermore, all those who had flocked to see what would become of him and to laugh at him, got a rude awakening on that day, as by God’s grace and empowerment, they were all destroyed!

This reminds me of Psalm 37:32-34 which states, “The wicked watcheth the righteous, And seeketh to slay him. The Lord will not leave him in his hand, Nor condemn him when he is judged.”

Did you hear that? The Lord WILL NOT leave him in his hand!

This is bad news for the haters. They want to see your destruction so bad and are eager, due to boredom and deep-seated ill-will, to have something to talk and to laugh about in relation to you. YET, if you are God’s child, his Word declares that he will NOT leave you in their hands. Simply put, they will not have their wicked way because the God who rules the heaven and the earth, will NOT permit it. He will uphold you with his right hand, which is mighty.

In Isaiah 41:10, his beautiful Word reminds us that we should not be fearful when we see people gathering around us, not for our welfare but to speak ill of us and in the hope of hearing news of our demise. His Word says, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

If God helps us and is for us, who can be against us? If God upholds us with his right hand, who is so powerful as to bring us down? No amount of ill-will dislike or even hatred will perform this feat because it is impossible.

In Isaiah 54:14-15, God conveyed of his children:

“In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.”

You can’t stop those who have positioned themselves as your enemies, from gathering or eagerly waiting with bated breath for news, any kind of bad news concerning you. Yet, God gives you the assurance that they will not be victorious in their evil pursuit.

In Romans 14:4, it states in relation to those who are quick to look for something, anything whereby they can maliciously criticize and condemn you: “Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.”

Do you hear that? No matter how much they want to see you fall, GOD IS ABLE TO MAKE YOU STAND! Praise God! The whole world may will you to fail and to fall but God is able to make you stand and that is all that matters. Once he is on your side, victory is secured.

In Ezekiel 36:7-9, despite all that people had done to discredit God’s people, the Israelites, he let them know that all of their wicked efforts would be for nought because he was on the side of his people and therefore, they would overcome.

He told them, in negation of the will of men, which was to see them hurt, ashamed and put down:

“Therefore thus saith the Lord God; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame. But ye, O mountains of Israel, YE SHALL shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for THEY ARE AT HAND TO COME. For, behold, I AM FOR YOU, and I will turn unto you, and YE SHALL be tilled and sown.”

It is clear therefore, that no amount of PETTINESS, could ever derail PURPOSE. People may have willed you to be a FAILURE but this is overruled and trumped by God willing you to be a SUCCESS!

More than a year ago, 31st October, 2022 to be exact, I wrote the following and uploaded it to my Facebook page, which fits perfectly into the theme of this Article:

𝐅𝐎𝐑, 𝐁𝐄𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃, 𝐈 𝐀𝐌 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐘𝐎𝐔…

Rarely have such beautifully assuring and comforting words ever been spoken!

If you are in relationship with almighty God, through Jesus Christ his Son, then if you are submitted to his will and purpose for your life (whatever that may be or however it may look like), then, it is such a blessed thing to know, that the God of heaven and of earth, the God of all creation IS FOR YOU.

When he is for you, you know that your victory is sure. When he is for you, you know that the enemy and his minions are already defeated foes. For as the saying goes, one with God, even in the face of intense attacks and opposition is a majority.

In Ezekiel 36, through his Prophet, God spoke about Idumea and other people who had positioned themselves wickedly as the enemies of his people the Israelites, foolishly presuming that they could just come in and take over the place where God had placed them and say whatever they liked about God’s people. He spoke of how he felt about the treacherous and boldfaced way that these people had dealt with his people, their designated and divinely appointed place and how HE, the one to whom vengeance alone belongeth (Romans 12:19 KJV), planned to requite them.

He said:

“Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord: Thus saith the Lord God; BECAUSE THE ENEMY HATH SAID AGAINST YOU, AHA, EVEN THE ANCIENT HIGH PLACES ARE OURS IN POSSESSION: Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; BECAUSE THEY HAVE MADE YOU DESOLATE, AND SWALLOWED YOU UP ON EVERY SIDE, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, AND YE ARE TAKEN UP IN THE LIPS OF TALKERS, AND ARE AN INFAMY OF THE PEOPLE:

…Therefore thus saith the Lord God; SURELY in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken AGAINST the residue of the heathen, and AGAINST all Idumea, which have appointed MY land into their possession WITH THE JOY OF ALL THEIR HEART, WITH DESPITEFUL MINDS, to cast it out for a prey…

THEREFORE thus saith the Lord God; I have lifted up mine hand, SURELY the heathen that are about you, THEY SHALL BEAR THEIR SHAME.

BUT YE, O MOUNTAINS OF ISRAEL, YE SHALL SHOOT FORTH YOUR BRANCHES, AND YIELD YOUR FRUIT TO MY PEOPLE OF ISRAEL; for they are at hand to come. 𝐅𝐎𝐑, 𝐁𝐄𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃, 𝐈 𝐀𝐌 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐘𝐎𝐔, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown: And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities SHALL be inhabited, and the wastes SHALL be builded: And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: AND I WILL SETTLE YOU AFTER YOUR OLD ESTATES, AND WILL DO BETTER UNTO YOU THAN AT YOUR BEGINNINGS: and ye shall KNOW that I am the Lord.”

In conclusion, if you are a believer in the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and you are humbly seeking to fulfill HIS purpose for your life, it is good to be reminded of the fact that, no amount of PETTINESS or any other drama the enemy may try to stir up or send, could ever derail your God-given PURPOSE. For if God is FOR YOU, who could dare be so boldfaced, so brazen, as to be against you? (Romans 8:31 KJV)
