This work began with a burning passion that God gave me sometime between 2015 – 2018, to reach and to treat with issues pertaining to single women. Me being a single woman myself and for many years, I knew first hand of the difficulties, the pain, the ostracism, the provocation and the feelings of inadequacy that many single Christian women experience. It is not an easy road to tread, when you desire to be married but it is possible to do so successfully, in a manner that is pleasing and glorifying to God. In the midst of my own situation and many other turbulences I experienced during that particular period, God equipped me with wisdom and lessons from his Word, not just for myself but to reach other single women, especially Christian single women, like me.
In obedience, I began and the work expanded with his leading, into something greater. As I meditated upon his Word and allowed him to teach and impress his truths upon my heart, I realized that He did not just purpose to use me to reach single women but women in all stages of life.
As women, irrespective of what season we are in, we all face issues, situations and have questions that we need answers, advice or guidance on and it is always nice to get good, wise, biblical-based counsel on these issues or situations.

On this Website, you will find over 500 of my journalistic writings or Articles, most of which were penned between 2014-2020 or thereabout. These Articles provide treasured truths on biblical topics and give precious insight into some of my life experiences, those of others, lessons learned over the years and wisdom gleaned on a variety of life’s issues. Needless to say, there is something for every woman!
It is important to note that the content on this Website is not geared at improving your self-esteem per say (which is really about you esteeming your self based on your self and your own sense of importance and is therefore internal-focused) but at getting you to understand and be convinced of your great worth and immense value as a human being, as a woman (and moreso, as a daughter of God if you are a Christian) because of who God is and the fact that he created you.
Self-esteem requires you to look WITHIN AT SELF and is about you believing that you are important, that you are somebody because of yourself and how you feel about yourself. Yet, your true worth and value is derived EXTERNALLY FROM GOD, not from a man or your background or how much money you have or how high up the corporate ladder you are or how good looking you are or how you have been treated by others or what they think about you or how you feel about yourself. Even if your self-esteem is low therefore, your worth remains high.
God is the one who created you and placed you on this earth and he values you greatly. It is because of HIM, who he is, his great power, excellence and magnificence (Psalm 8:1), the fact that he created you in his image and likeness (Genesis 1:26-27), made you a little lower than the angels (Psalm 8:5-6), loves you dearly, considers your soul to be precious, so much so that he sent his only begotten Son (Jesus) to die for your sins so that you could access heaven (John 3:16), that YOU HAVE AWESOME, UNSHAKABLE, UNBREAKABLE WORTH as a human being, as a woman and as a Christian (if you know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour).
You should note that, unlike many other forums, the aim of this Website is not to make friends, be cute or popular. It’s not here to inspire, make people feel good, to motivate, be positive or even to pronounce blessing, promotion, advancement and breakthrough. The purpose of this Website is help you by publishing TRUTH as provided in the Word of God and to share wisdom as gleaned from it.
You will find that underpinning the Pages on this Website therefore is one pervading and worthy theme: That JESUS, the SON of God is THE SAVIOUR of the whole world, THE SOLUTION to your problem, THE SALVATION for lost souls, THE START of new beginnings and THE SOURCE of all true success and anything that is worthwhile and sustainable.
Join me on a journey therefore, as we explore God’s Word the Bible and train our eyes to see life through HIS lens. When we apply God’s Word and the truths contained in the Bible, as we submit to HIS will, HIS way, HIS purpose, HIS methods, HIS plan, HIS choice and HIS timing, we will find that we emerge BETTER, not BITTER, STRONGER, not WEAKER, SUCCESSFUL (as God defines success), not SAD. We will declare, as many other women have done throughout the ages when they chose to obey God and experienced his faithfulness, that the JOY of the Lord is our strength.

“Our Father who art in heaven, please help me to be SURROUNDED by your Word, SATURATED by your Word, SCHOOLED by your Word and SANCTIFIED by your Word. Help me to be STRENGTHENED by your Word, SHAPED by your Word, STEERED by your Word and SUSTAINED by your Word. Let me be SUCCOURED by your Word and all in all, help me to be SATISFIED with your Word. In Jesus’ name, I ask this, Amen.”

I am honoured to be God’s servant and to have been called to this GREAT WORK. It doesn’t feel like work because I love to share what God places on my heart as I read and meditate on the truths in his Word, the Bible. I am merely a weakling, trusting God to do great exploits in my life, not by my might or by my power but by HIS Spirit. For, whereas there are some things that are impossible with men, ALL THINGS are possible with God.
When I look at what God has done and continues to do in me and through me, as one of his vessels, it is so great and so surpassed my own expectations, that I realize that sometimes, we don’t know what God has put in us, until he is ready to extract it, for HIS glory. We are amazed at what he extracts from us, when he begins to use us for his work, as we ourselves did not know that all that was there!
Some years back, if anybody had told me that I would open a Website and write all of these Articles, I would tell them that I would never do that in a million years. Yet, God knew I would because he had purposed for me to do so and that is exactly what I did! He gave me all that I needed – Writing ability, a good measure of wisdom to understand much of his Word and how it is to be applied to every day life situations, discernment (to understand the real motives and the spirit behind things), a love and a passion for the promotion of truth and the exposing of lies and the ability to put what I’ve gained from his Word, into writing, in a way that would be simple enough for people to understand and impactful enough to make them listen. He also used my love of creative expression, excellence and meticulous presentation skills, to layout the Articles (which I thoroughly enjoyed) and come up with a vision for the Website. Believe it or not, I sketched exactly what I wanted on paper and gave it to the IT professionals to create and they created it exactly as I had envisioned.

Today, it is more than just a sketch. In obedience to His call, God brought the little vision I had in my head, for a Website, to pass.
Yes, sometimes (although not always), God uses your spiritual gifts along with one or more of your earthly talents to achieve HIS work.
We may consider ourselves as nothing much, having nothing much to offer and people may also think of us in this way but God knows what he has deposited in each of his children and what he created and redeemed them to be, for HIM. Sometimes, like Gideon in the Bible, he has purposed for us to be WARRIORS (which the enemy of our soul seemingly knows and fears and so, often sends all sorts of attacks to try to derail, undermine and distract us) but we mistakenly think of ourselves as WEAKLINGS.
Yet, as I have learned, through the Lord’s power (not our own), “…the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” For, “…we have this TREASURE in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” (Daniel 11:32; 2 Corinthians 4:7).
I am truly excited about the future and what else God has in store for me to do. It is my hope, that in your reading the Articles here, you and other women all over the world, will be edified or benefitted in some way and ultimately, God’s name glorified.

A LITTLE HISTORY ON HOW THE WEBSITE STARTED…
Getting to this point has not been easy. It has been an uphill battle but by the grace of God, he has enabled me to do great exploits!
After much procrastination and finding one excuse after another as to why I could not do it or could not get started, I finally submitted to what I knew was God’s will in 2017, after listening one Sunday evening to a sermon I found to be soul-stirring and a bit terrifying, on the online Harbour Light Radio Station. It was about the brevity of life, the importance of Christians doing God’s work, not wasting our time while here on earth and the importance of leaving a spiritual legacy with the limited time we’ve got.
So affected was I by this Sermon, which shook me out of my complacency, pierced my heart and made me stare squarely into eternity, that I jumped into motion and began to make plans to start publishing the quotes and Notes that God alone knew I had been writing, as I meditated on his Word. I resolved to no longer make excuses. I knew in my spirit, that this was God’s call and there was one thing I had to do: Obey. Irrespective of what little I thought of myself or people of me, He had work for me to do for the edification of the saints and the building of his Kingdom and he was letting me know that it was high time for me to awake out of sleep, to stop making excuses, to make use of what he put in me and to get HIS WORK started.
In response, I initially opened a blog sometime in 2017, which, for reasons I will explain later, did not last very long. When that did not work out, I decided to open a HEPHZIBAH DIARIES Facebook Page for single Christian women. For, God have given me a message from his Word and gifted me with a good measure of wisdom and understanding and I knew that I had to find an outlet to offload what he had put and was still putting in my spirit, as I read and meditated upon his Word, the Bible, not just for my benefit but for women all over the world.
This Facebook Page which I opened on 16th January, 2018, eventually expanded into material for non-believing women as well, who needed to be pointed in the direction of truth and I soon felt the need to open five (5) more Pages. There are therefore six (6) HEPHZIBAH DIARIES Facebook Pages presently but only five (5) are available at this point in time. It is not yet the right time to publish the sixth Page and so, until God is ready for me to do so, it will remain pending.
These Facebook pages were pivotal to the Website’s start. For, most of the Articles on this Website were initially uploaded to my Facebook Pages over a two (2) year period, which commenced from January 2018. In November 2020 however, after giving it’s users about one (1) month’s notice, Facebook removed the Notes feature entirely. It also breached it’s promise to retain all existing Notes, as my Notes which had been neatly arranged together under the ‘Notes’ heading and in numerical order were scattered carelessly in the body of the Page, all of the associated pictures removed and some Articles even went missing!
Imagine my dismay. Having worked continuously to upload these Articles and other material that I had written and was still writing for over two (2) years and eagerly hoping that God would lead women and girls to read them (and some were doing just that), I was taken aback, shocked and saddened by this development. In fact, I suffered a bit of a similar fate when I initially opened the blog around 2017 and spent countless hours uploading some of the material. Without warning, I was informed that I had violated something and my Page was unceremoniously removed.
If I say that I did not cry over these incidents, I would be lying. The blog was eventually reopened after I appealed but by then, I had lost confidence in those who owned the platform I was using. I reasoned, that if they could do what they did once, they could do it again. I therefore moved ship to Facebook in early 2018, only for Facebook to suddenly announce to the public that it was removing the Notes feature, after two whole years of my consistently uploading hundreds of Articles!
There were other issues as well. On at least two occasions prior (maybe as a result of reports being made by people offended by my uncompromising posts), Facebook barred me from posting content on my ‘SINGLE Daughters of God – HEPHZIBAH DIARIES’ Page for one month periods. This was intended to work as a sort of suspension, I guess because those managing Facebook did not like something that I had posted. The daily traffic to that ‘SINGLE Daughters of God’ Page in particular was very busy and so, while many women were benefiting from what was being posted, it was not surprising, that some who visited, went away disgruntled, upset and maybe even angry. For, declaring what the Word of God (the Bible) states and without compromise, always offends.
Slowly, I began to lose confidence in Facebook, as the place to house my Articles. When it removed the Notes Feature in November, 2020, it became clear that I needed my own Page, where nobody could put any hold or restrictions on what I posted but God. The enemy does not like truth and I know that some of the stuff I posted, ruffled some feathers.
NEVERTHELESS, I was convinced that the Articles God had given me and the wisdom contained within was not for me to keep to myself but to be promulgated and so this prompted me to open a Website. I believed that this WORK was of God and so I persevered. Many attacks came from a variety of places to derail my efforts but I was determined, that what God had given me from his Word and willed me to share with others was too precious to keep to myself. I therefore pushed forward.
The very next month (December 2020), in the middle of the Covid19 pandemic, I hired an IT Company and after giving specific instructions (including a sketch) as to layout and presentation, this Website was up and running by February, 2021. Of course it would take months thereafter for me to re-upload the Articles (and God was still giving me new Articles to write as I read his Word!) but I considered it a labour of love.
The IT Company suggested that I could pay someone to upload them because they were so many and it would take months and months to finish but the Company representative could never dream to know or understand how much I loved this work that I KNEW that God had personally entrusted to me, to do. It was part of the purpose for which I was created! Perhaps to ensure that I had the time to do it, God kept the doors to secular employment firmly closed for me during this period and so, I focused (without distraction) on getting HIS WORK done. This was not something that could be delegated. It needed to be presented in a particular manner and with utmost care and I knew and understood, that I had to do it myself. I therefore declined and spent the next eight (8) or so months, re-uploading and re-vetting, finding fresh pictures to use for each Article and continuing to write even more Articles, whenever I felt led by the Lord to do so.
How I looked at it, by the grace of God, I had a message for women, the Lord equipped me beautifully with all I needed to tell it and the enemy would NOT silence me. Whatever was meant for evil, God would turn it around for good (Genesis 50:20 KJV).
In fact, a few years ago, 2018 or thereabout, I wrote:
- “For as long as I can remember, people have been trying their very best to convince me that I am nothing, that God has given me nothing, that I have nothing to say and should just shut up. Why is it that they feel the need to suppress me so much? Lord, birth whatever you want to birth in me. Speak whatever you want to speak through me and change whatever you want to change in me, in Jesus’ name, Amen.“
In response to my prayer, God has shown himself faithful. The tactics of the enemy have not ceased and he has used different people (Sanballats and Tobiahs) to attack and to try to get me to abort this WORK that God has given me to do but I am convinced that, once God is in this, what is being built WILL stand. 1 John 4:4 reminds me that “Ye are of God, little children, and have OVERCOME them: because GREATER is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
Psalm 126:5-6 also reminds me that “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
As you read the Articles on this Website, it will become clear to you that my PAIN has been deep but so has my PRAISE! The enemy of my soul has done much to frustrate me and to make me WEEP but the marvellous goodness and faithfulness of God has made me SING! He has birthed a spirit of thanksgiving and praise in me, that nullifies and renders void, every attack of the enemy and through HIS WORD, which is true and by his grace, I am victorious.
Had I not encountered those problems with Facebook and my initial blog for example, I would have never dreamed of opening a Website but the problems happened and by the grace of almighty God, I did! In retrospect, I believe the Lord allowed it so that it would work out for good.
On the whole, when I consider how he has helped me and what he has brought me through thus far in life, I declare, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” (2 Corinthians 2:14 KJV)
