238. YOU MY FRIEND ARE DEAD

(The Abundant Life Series – Batch 2)

If you don’t have Jesus Christ at the centre of your life, then you may be walking around but you are SPIRITUALLY DEAD, much like the tail of a lizard or gecko that has been severed from the rest of the body. It wriggles around for a while but because it is not connected to the LIFE SOURCE, eventually, it loses all power to do anything and lies motionless. It is DEAD. If you are not a Child of God through Jesus Christ who is the source of life, you are no different. You are DEAD.

Yet, there is hope for you. Jesus said: “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

Jesus, who is Lord over all is giving spiritual life freely to people everyday during this GRACE period and he wants to do the same for you. Romans 10:13 states: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

For those that he has made SPIRITUALLY ALIVE, they are promised an eternal inheritance in heaven. When they physically die, God says that they merely sleep because when Jesus returns, they shall be awakened and will be taken to heaven.

In speaking of those who were SPIRITUALLY DEAD but were made SPIRITUALLY ALIVE in Jesus, the Bible states:

• “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by GRACE ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

What are you waiting for? If you have never asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart and you’re tired of how things are in your so-called life, you feel the way you do because you are SPIRITUALLY DEAD. You eat, you move, you go to work maybe but you’re just going through the motions because you are disconnected from the life source.
