175. I’VE GOT NO TIME TO MIND ANYBODY’S BUSINESS
(The Faith Forum Series – Batch 3)
I’ve got no time to mind anybody’s business.
I am too focused on fighting to regain ALL that the devil stole from me due to my own disobedience to God’s Word and to break down doors that that devil does not want to EVER be opened.
I don’t know about you but I have realized that spiritual warfare takes considerable effort. I therefore cannot afford to waste time and energy focusing on another’s journey. I simply don’t have the time!
To succeed in this battlefield, I need to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus Christ as he is the one that gives me the instructions, the strategies, the tactics for attack and the empowerment to keep going. He also holds the keys to the change I desire in my life and has the ability to override the evil will of the devil.
The devil wants God’s people to stay stuck, to not move forward, to be deprived from the things and blessings they desire in life and which are within the perfect will of God to be granted to them but I WILL fight.
Sometimes God wants things for us but due to our disobedience, rebellion, refusal to submit and other factors, this delays or sometimes prevents us from obtaining those blessings.
Even when we are walking as we ought to, we get the impression from the Bible, that the devil still tries at times to thwart the purpose of God in our lives, although he never succeeds, due to God being all powerful.
This may be why as we have seen in our own lives and that of others, that many times, when God is about to do something wonderful in the life of one of his children, that person faces relentless attacks, storms and trials, right before. This may very well be the effects of what is happening in the spiritual realm, where the devil tries to delay and overthrow what God intends for us to have and walk into.
In 1 Thessalonians 2:17-18 for example, Paul wrote to the Thessalonian Christians:
- “But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire. Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.”
In Daniel 10:7-13, an angel from the Lord speaks of the hindering effort of a diabolical force in the spiritual realm, which delayed Daniel’s prayer from being answered by three whole weeks. Daniel recounts:
- “And I Daniel alone saw the vision…And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.”
From the above scriptures, it is clear that those that operate in the spiritual realm, have their battles to fight but so do we as human beings here on earth. As children of the King however, we cannot be victorious in our portion of the fight, unless we submit to the Lord completely and obey his instructions for living.
If people are so content with where they are at in life and have no further to go and so can afford the time to focus on me and on my business and on what I am doing or not doing or where I am at or am not, then good for them.
By all means, they are free to observe my journey (hopefully not to the detriment of them advancing in their own) but they should know this in advance: I may not have all I desire at the moment but once I stay submitted to the Lord and his methods for warfare, EXPECT to see me receiving ALL the good things he has reserved for me at SOME POINT before I depart this earth.
When you do, know that these ‘good things’, as lovely as they may be, did not come easy but with faith-filled perseverance and the consistent deployment of spiritual weapons of mass destruction, like faith-fueled prayer, fasting and praise.
Know too that I did not get what I acquired by preoccupying myself with the business of others. When a soldier is on the battlefield, he looks straight ahead, not at what others are doing or how well they are holding their weapons or if they are holding them at all.
I SHALL not fail because I am DETERMINED to fight aggressively in the Spirit for ALL that God has in store for me and in FAITH, I SHALL NOT be defeated, in Jesus’ name.
My battle is by no means over. This is JUST the beginning.
