258. TURNING THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN

(The Faith Forum Series – Batch 7)

On 5th September, 2018, I uploaded this verse to my Facebook page:

“And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have TURNED THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN are come hither also.” (Acts 17:6)

I then wrote: I’ve always loved and been fascinated by this verse, I think perhaps because I unapologetically and unreservedly desire to do the same!

My statement was inspired both by the verse and this lovely quote that I found, which I also attached to the statement and verse:

A few days ago (5th September, 2022 to be precise), Facebook sent me a memory of what I had written and I considered how far God had taken me since then and how much he had done through me, in that time period. Today, 13th September, 2022, in reading the verse, statement and quote again (the memory of which I had shared to my page), I wrote:

Four years in, my resolve remains unchanged. By the grace of almighty God, may I continue to stand against the tide in a world that is in mutiny against God. May I continue the fight against the world, my own flesh and the devil, in a time where ugly apostasy, apathy and preoccupation with self-advancement, self-interest and self-aspiration are rife in so many Churches. Each professing believer will one day give an account to God for what he has used his time to do on earth but may I use what God has given me (in gifts, talents, time and resources) and obey HIS call, to do MY LITTLE PART of the work in HIS vast vineyard with whatever time I have left.

May I contribute in whatever little way he has empowered me and towards the good works that he has before ordained for me to do (Ephesians 2:10), disrupt the status quo of this evil world and undermine its system with ripples of TRUTH. As a soldier of the cross, this is my MAIN mission and reason for existence upon this earth. “For I am NOT ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the POWER of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16). May HE therefore continue to use these little fingers and these little hands, to HIS honour and glory (not anybody else’s).

And may all who, like Sanballat and Tobiah, seek to frustrate, so as to cause this good work that I have been called to, to cease, be dealt with in God’s own way and in his own time. For sadly, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few.”

ADDENDUM

Believe it or not, within about five minutes of my uploading this Article, saving it and exiting my website, I received a notification from Facebook, that someone somewhere in the world, had liked one of my quotes on my SINGLE Daughters Facebook ministry page. This was normal as women visited my Facebook Ministry pages all the time and liked whatever blessed their hearts. I was shocked though, when I clicked on the notification, to see that this was the quote that the lady had liked:

This was a quote I had written some years back and uploaded in August, 2020. To me, it is confirmation from the Lord that, (1) yes, life is short, (2) that I am on the right track, in pursuing after HIS agenda, in seeking FIRST the Kingdom of God, in REDEEMING the time because the days are evil and in laying up for myself TREASURES IN HEAVEN, where moth and rust cannot corrupt and thieves cannot break through and steal (Matthew 6:19-21, 33; Ephesians 5:16); and (3) that this work, this Ministry that I have been preoccupied with for the past four years, amidst much insult, put-down, criticism, ridicule, attack and opposition from without (the world) and sadly, also from within is a work that HE endorses.

That is all I could ever care for, to know that almighty God is rooting for me and commends the work that I am doing.
