176. HOW YOU GONNA CURSE WHO GOD HAS BLESSED?

(The Faith Forum Series – Batch 4)

In my devotions this morning, I was reminded that when the enemy commissions anybody on earth to go after the children of God, in defeat, they eventually end up concluding like Balaam did:

  • “God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken and shall he not make it good? Behold, I have received commandment TO BLESS: and HE HATH BLESSED: and I CANNOT reverse it.” (Numbers 23:19-20)

When God has ALREADY pronounced a blessing on those with whom he has covenant, irrespective of how people may feel about it or about them, absolutely NOBODY can reverse it or get him to change his mind.

These are his chosen children. He loves them with an everlasting love. Can you even begin to comprehend what this means?

He fights for those who are his because he has invested time and effort into them and their PURPOSE.

He guards his investment and he does so beautifully.

GREAT is his faithfulness. Those he declares blessed are blessed and those who wish it not to be so, fight a losing battle.

And so I ask the question as I’ve often wondered, when I see war raging against me by those who don’t like me and do all they can to try to wreak havoc in my life and even go as far as trying to fight against God’s purpose for my life: How are you gonna curse who God has blessed?

I wish you luck because you’re surely gonna need it. For one thing is certain: God ain’t on your side. He’s never on the side of wickedness, bad-mindedness and maliciousness. That’s where the devil hangs out and I see in the Word of God where he is already a defeated foe.
